David D. Burns, MD, is Adjunct Clinical Professor Emeritus at the Stanford University Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. His best-selling book, Feeling Good: The New Mood Therapy, has sold more than five million copies  and is the book most frequently recommended for depressed individuals by American and Canadian health professionals.
