Donald Altman is the author of the book, 101 Mindful Ways to Build Resilience: Cultivate Calm, Clarity, Optimism & Happiness Each Day. Donald is a psychotherapist, world-renowned mindfulness expert and award-winning author of over 15 books. Featured as an expert in The Mindfulness Movie and profiled in the Living Spiritual Teachers Project, he currently writes Psychology Today’s Practical Mindfulness Blog.

Past Vice-President of The Center for Mindful Eating, Donald’s passion is to bring ancient, timeless values and practices into modern life. He has taught thousands of health care and business professionals how to apply mindfulness for self-growth, in relationships, and in the workplace. He worked for several years as a senior mental health therapist at an eating disorder and general psychiatric clinic before founding his own clinic. He and his lovely wife, Maria, live on a beautiful hill near Portland, Oregon.
