Amanda Mailey is the author of the new book, Sidetracked. Amanda has worked for some of the largest advertising agencies in the world advising brands like Intel, Adobe, Nike, Microsoft, and Visa. Amanda received a Journalism degree from the University of Oregon before getting her first consulting job with Intel. She owns her own strategic consultancy, ALIST—advising start-ups, mission driven companies, and the careers of women and BIPOC leaders.

Into the Wind

Jake Ducey is author of the new book, Into the Wind: My Six-Month Journey Wandering the World for Life’s Purpose. At twenty-one-years-old, Jake is the world’s youngest published inspirational author, and is the Director of Self Reliance Institute, where he has built both a school and an orphanage in San Marcos, Guatemala. Since 2012 Jake has traveled to Guatemala, Australia, Indonesia, and Thailand.

Bob Kull discusses his adventures and his book, Solitude: Seeking Wisdom in Extremes-A Year Alone in the Patagonia Wilderness. Years after a motorcycle accident left him with one leg, Bob traveled to a remote island in the Patagonia wilderness with supplies to live completely alone for a year. He sought to explore the effects of deep solitude on the body and mind and to find answers to the spiritual questions that had plagued him his entire life. Bob has spent years wandering North and South America, working as a scuba instructor, wilderness guide, construction worker, dishwasher, truck driver, bartender, painter, firefighter, and professor. He began undergraduate studies at age forty and now holds a Ph.D. from University of British Columbia. He lives in Vancouver.
